WISCONSIN PHARMACAL COMPANY ACQUIRES LAKE CONSUMER PRODUCTS

Jackson, WI December 3, 2003 - Wisconsin Pharmacal Company, LLC announced today that it has acquired Lake Consumer Products. Based in Vernon Hills, IL, Lake Consumer Products markets a variety of health and personal care products for women including the Vagi-Gard line of creams, douches and gels, Yeast Gard™ Homeopathic Vaginal Suppositories, Estrex™ for Hot Flashes and the Foot Fetiche line of upscale foot care products. Lake also recently introduce a family planning line of products including Babystart™ Home Ovulation Test, Babystart™ Pregnancy Test and fertilMARQ™ Male Infertility Test.

John Wundrock, President of Wisconsin Pharmacal Company, stated, "This acquisition is a major component of the aggressive growth platform that we envision for Pharmacal. The transaction was completed with the assistance of financial partners TCF Bank and the State of Wisconsin Investment Board. Terms of the transaction were not released.

Wisconsin Pharmacal Company has evolved from a business which began as a cooperative manufacturer for independent drug stores in 1896. In 1971, John Wundrock founded the modern day company, which subsequently became publicly traded in 1991 before being acquired by United Industries Corporation in December 2002. In May of 2003, Wundrock, together with partner Jeffrey Potts purchased the brands of Potable Aqua Water Purification Tablets, Sting Eze Insect Bite Relief, Atwater Carey First Aid Kits, Reflect Sun care products and contract manufacturing operations.

All of the operations of Lake Consumer Products will be transferred to Wisconsin Pharmacal's headquarters in Jackson, WI.
